RETRO FISH TOA 5'6" - INTERNAL RAIL PREPARATION


Internal Rail Preparation (Work time – 2 hours)

Once the bottom and deck plywood are glued it’s time to prepare lateral sides for rails attachment. 
to smooth with a plane

to check first layer interface

Rails attachment wil be done in a second stage after installation of internal tail & nose reinforcements

To glue Deck Plywood (Work time – 1 hours + 24 h glue drying time)

cover rails with paper Scotch tape

domed deck look pretty good!

RETRO FISH TOA 5'6" - TO GLUE BOTTOM PLYWOOD


To Glue Bottom Plywood (Work time – 1 ½ hours + 24 h glue drying time)

Once the fishbone is ready, internal struct. can be glued to the bottom plywood:

_ Lay down frames/Spine on bottom to mark out position on it using pencil

_ Place marked bottom plywood on the ART

_ Lay the polyurethane wood glue between mark lines in way of structure

_ press internal structure on bottom plywood using cross bar

_ wait for 24 h for drying glue time




Glue the frame to the bottom planks using the rocker table

Pressing the skin into the frame


Frame is now attached to the bottom planks

RETRO FISH TOA 5'6" - BOTTOM AND DECK CUT-OUT


Bottom & Deck marine ply cut-out (Work time – 1 hour)

We have cutted a 3mt x 1.5 mt timber frame of 3mm marine plywood.
We’ ll use it for:
Deck
Bottom
Spine (2 x 3mm glued together)
Spine for our next project (3 x 3mm glued together for TOA wave SUP 9')

_ Prepare a nesting(*) of all above components in accordance to the available overall plywood dimension.

_ cut each component using jig saw and paper template
Nesting on available marine plywood
